Received the knives today and they look to be of a good quality but I am disappointed in the shipping. Shaking the box I could hear the knives rattling around inside the box. Upon opening the box, I found that there was no packing in the box. The knives were free to move around in the box rubbing against each other. For what are supposed to be precision knives, this is a surprise and a disappointment.

The knives are not sharp and will need to be sharpened before use. I don’t know if this is typical or if it is because of the packaging or both.

The knives weren’t sharp, and those black labels you see in the picture and just crappy stickers that were falling off when i opened the box. Very cheaply made, poor investment

Great knives.
As others have stated, they do need sharpening before they are “carving sharp”, like most new knives.
This is because people may wish to set the bevel angle differently depending on the wood to be carved and personal preference.

Once sharpened and stropped, they hold a fine edge.

They are surprisingly lightweight.
